My name is Andrew Maynard. I create paintings, drawings, musical instruments, graphic design, and mixed media artwork. The majority of my works are abstractly based on the wildlife that is abundant near my home in Missoula, Montana but also include subjects that range from the surreal to photo-realistic to macabre. I began my art career in early 2002 by apprenticing under established artists in Fort Worth, Texas and Santa Fe, New Mexico where I honed and refined my craft before moving to the mountains of Montana to raise my family. I have been a featured artist in the Fort Worth ArtsGoggle program, have shown in many First Fridays across Western Montana, and have pieces displayed in both public and private galleries across the country and internationally. I have been a freelance graphic designer since 2002 and have made a career with my screenprint designs and extensive logo work. My Etsy store was included in this article from the Missoulian.com about local artisans. I have contributed artwork for various musicians and musical groups in the area like the black metal group Planar Deformation as well as artwork for book covers such as Life of a French Fry by David Rowell Workman.
